2024 Covid 19 Update. NO CHANGE IN MY VIEW THIS VIRUS WAS ALWAYS TREATABLE!!

If we want to survive, it’s time we prioritize making our Healthcare System Great again. Let’s work on ways now to prevent those whose have had a negative influence on our health by decision making based on financial and political gain, be prevented from doing so ever again. I’m a doctor who has been treating and caring for Covid 19 patients for the past three years, 24/7, and I’m entitled to voice “my opinion” without the fear of my medical license being taken away from me, by threats and warnings from some Government authorities, who’ve issued such warnings to physicians during the Covid 19 Pandemic without any such threats being issued to politicians and newscasters who have repeatedly voiced “their” opinions over medical issues concerning the Pandemic. This is my opinion, like it or not. I’ve been treating people infected with this virus every single day for three years now. I’ve treated thousands of people infected with this virus beginning in 2019, before tests were even available to test for Covid 19, as my practice is located in The New York Metropolitan Area, and more specifically the area of the United States first named the COVID-19 epicenter.

From what “I’m” observing in New York now as I continue to treat Covid patients on a daily basis this virus is surging again. I see no difference in the manner in which the virus is affecting those who have been vaccinated and those who have not. This virus appears to be very contagious still but with less harm to individuals in terms of morbidity and mortality. There are many factors to be considered in terms of why individuals are not getting as sick as were those infected with this virus in the past. Individuals in whom symptoms are not resolving within a few days appear to be seeking treatment earlier than in the past and are being more careful not to infect others which would explain a reduction in the mortality and morbidity rates we are presently witnessing compared to past spikes.?

We’re also witnessing lower morbidity and mortality rates now attributed to this virus as statistical reporting has dramatically decreased due to those testing positive using home test kits without a system in place to ensure accurate reporting (and most available tests are based on detecting the original Covid 19 Virus and not Variants, with an increase therefore in false negative test results now compared to the past), Another significant factor for the decrease in Covid 19 illness and death rates is that Healthcare Providers have now learned how to effectively treat this virus, no longer being influenced by noneffective treatment protocols that had been widely publicized by certain politicians and newscasters. For example, at the start of the Pandemic it was politicians and newscasters calling out for additional vents or respirators in huge numbers which was a mistake. Politics played an important role in influencing decisions being made by the medical community as to how to treat low oxygen levels seen in hospitalized Covid patients at the start of the Pandemic having many believe that placing these patients on vents was the treatment of choice.?Patients were prematurely placed on vents, resulting in a 10 or 20 percent survival rate once intubated. The same was true for advising against the use of steroids, recommending treating Covid patients with hydroxychloroquine (plaquenil) instead. When indicated a short course of low-dose steroids is not immunosuppressive, while on the other hand plaquenil works, in part by primarily by depressing ones immune system. Plaquenil is used to treat patients who are thought to have an overactive immune system. This is my opinion however it is based on years of study and a tremendous amount of experience treating COVID-19 patients in addition to established medically accepted published data all of us physicians have studied and are, or should be familiar with.

It’s mind boggling to think how such incorrect medical decision making occurred during the Covid Pandemic, resulting in a tremendous amount of deaths. We can’t let this ever happen again and hopefully will not as a great majority of the public, not just physicians, have had enough.?CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky recently announced that health-based decisions during this Pandemic were being made through a political lens, giving us more hope that this will never happen again (??)
