Debt Resolution Agency Strengthens Vulnerable Customer Strategy

A strategic partnership between The Digital DRA and the?Vulnerability Registration Service? has being launched to ensure on-going support for vulnerable customers.

In May 2022, 47% of UK adults showed 1 or more characteristics of vulnerability, up from 46% in February 2020 – this equates to an increase of 0.9 million adults from 24.0 million to 24.9 million over that period. The Vulnerability Registration Service plays a vital role in enabling people to register on its database if they want their vulnerability to be factored in by creditors and other organisations. It takes away the anxiety and distress caused by having to engage with multiple companies to share the same details about their vulnerable circumstances.

How does it work??On day 1 of The Digital DRA being instructed to contact a customer; an API automatically cross-references customers with VRS to scan for any known vulnerability flags.?If a flag is returned, a tailored approach depending on the nature of the potential vulnerability highlighted is adopted. This enables The Digital DRA to actively identify and manage vulnerability in an effective and efficient way.
