TOPICAL USE OF DEBRICHEM? FOR THE TREATMENT OF PERIUNGUAL SKIN LESIONS POST-PHENOLIZATION: A CASE SERIES
Dr. Alberto Cogo, MD PhD, Head of Vascular Medicine, Villa Berica Hospital , Vicenza?-?Italy
?? Engaging presentation by Alberto Cogo, Head of Vascular Medicine at Villa Berica Hospital in Vicenza, Italy. He shares their first-time experience using DEBRICHEM? for treating patients suffering from pyogenic ungual granuloma.
?? Pyogenic ungual granuloma is a benign vascular lesion that appears as a red, friable nodule around the nail bed, typically caused by minor trauma or irritation. These lesions are challenging to treat due to their high recurrence rate, tendency to bleed, and involvement with the sensitive nail bed, often leading to complications like infection and nail deformities.
?? Discover how Alberto successfully used DEBRICHEM? for the first time on these lesions, showcasing effective results. Watch the video to learn more!
Pain reception and management during the usage of DEBRICHEM?
Dr. Polina Shabes, Assistant Physician In The Vascular Surgery Department, Dept. for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, University Hospital Düsseldorf, Germany
?? Meet Polina Shabes, Assistant Physician at the Vascular Surgery Department of the University Clinic in Dusseldorf, Germany. During the last edition of the EWMA ? European Wound Management Association Conference in London, she presented the preliminary results of her research conducted in collaboration with Julian-Dario Rembe.
?? In their research, they compared pain sensation during sharp debridement to that experienced during DEBRICHEM? application. Both groups received various local ready-to-use topical anaesthetic approaches before treatment. The results showed that pain perception in the DEBRICHEM?? group was comparable to that in the sharp debridement group. Importantly, the pain experienced during DEBRICHEM?? application was well manageable.
We are excited about these findings and their potential impact on improving patient comfort. ??
