Artificial intelligence (AI) is often seen as a transformative force, capable of revolutionizing industries and reshaping how we live and work. But as Prof. Jan Kruger insightfully highlighted in his comments on my article, King IV and the Governance of Artificial Intelligence: A New Frontier?, AI is far from perfect. While its potential is undeniable, its current limitations; particularly its reliance on neural networks and their associated flaws, present significant risks that must be addressed through governance, innovation, and responsible integration.
There is an important truth: AI’s challenges are not just technical but also ethical and organizational. This article explores those challenges, including how governance frameworks like King IV can guide the responsible deployment of AI in an era of rapid digital transformation.
The Promise and Limitations of AI
AI’s ability to process data, recognize patterns, and make predictions has unlocked tremendous potential across industries. From healthcare diagnostics to financial forecasting, AI is transforming decision-making processes. 4 周I have not yet read Jan Kruger’s article. I think the main flaws are human, and not neural networks. See eg -> An AI chatbot told a user how to kill himself—but the company doesn’t want to “censor” .
