Why I job hopped in my 20's
Job hopping can be a challenging decision to make, and it's not always easy to explain to others why you decided to take that path. In my case, job hopping in my 20s was driven by several reasons.
I didn't really know myself as a person yet. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted in life and what kind of career I wanted to pursue. As a result, I often found myself feeling unfulfilled or unsatisfied with my job and would look for something new and different.
I was chasing new experiences. I was often driven by my ego and the desire to try new things and to see what I was capable of. This led me to try out a variety of different roles in different industries.
I am a creative person who gets bored easily. I thrive on new challenges and opportunities, and I found that staying in one job for too long would often lead to me feeling stagnant and unfulfilled.
I knew deep down that I was meant for more than what some of the roles I had were offering me. I wanted to find a career that would allow me to grow and make a difference in the world.
I was often working for money rather than passion. I would take on jobs that paid well but didn't necessarily align with my values or interests. As a result, I would often find myself feeling like I didn’t fit in with the company culture, and I would dread going to work.?
I found it challenging to work with difficult people, and I would often quit a job as a protective mechanism. Conflict avoidance was my default response, and I didn't always have the tools to deal with challenging colleagues or bosses.
Job hopping in my 20s allowed me to explore different industries, roles, and experiences. While it may not have always been easy to explain to others, I believe that this period of exploration was critical to helping me figure out who I am and what I am truly passionate about.

Job hopping is no longer the career taboo it once was. As long as you approach job hopping with a strategic mindset and professional demeanour, it can be a perfectly acceptable and even beneficial career move.
