10 个月Two thoughts for today... First, there is something both brilliant and terrifying about combining the CTA and RTA. Secondly, what difference does lowering the speed limit make? The people who follow the speed limit aren't the ones who are usually the causes of accidents, especially the ones that result in fatalities. Distracted drivers are more dangerous. Speeders are more dangerous. And the authorities don't ever seem to arrest or stop the ones that matter. The result of changing the speed limit will just frustrate drivers and lead them to take alternate routes and cause more traffic problems. I think the solution here is more (and better) public transportation coupled with better bike and pedestrian access. combine that with people putting down their phones and we might actually have a successful time. but that's just me
