Dear Woman, Write Your Story

While strolling through the streets of Instagram recently, I ran into a truly inspiring story of Rukayat Abiola Ahmed. The story captures many women’s journey to becoming. I was inspired and truly grateful for Rukayat and I decided to share it here on our “Dear Woman” series to inspire you too.

Here goes:

I was that girl that let circumstance determine the trajectory of her life. I was that girl that self-sabotage herself because she doesn’t know she is valuable. I was that girl that loved to express herself but couldn’t because she believed she had nothing good to say. I was that girl that loves to write but didn’t know how to; no wonder I have awesome Writers as friends. I was that girl that loved to create with her hands but was too afraid to because she believed no one will value it. I was that girl that others believed in more than she believed in herself.

And now…

I am that girl that is finding her voice, value and place in the fast pace world. I am that girl that is breaking all the limiting beliefs she has and taking bold steps. I am that girl that doesn’t hustle but thrives because I live in abundance. I am that girl that loves LOVE and loves to express love. I am that girl that; styling, coordinating, arranging and decluttering is her SUPERPOWER
