Dear President Trump,

My name is Michael Ellenbogen and I am living with dementia. In my capacity as International Dementia Advocate & Connecter, I have changed many existing policies and procedures around this disease. Through my knowledge and experience many doctors and other medical professionals have learned new ways to deal with people who suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia. I am respectfully requesting an audience with you as I know with your help we can change Alzheimer’s disease.

To their credit, many Senators and Congressmen from both parties have been in contact with the Whitehouse scheduling office in the past on my behalf; unfortunately, to date they have been unsuccessful in securing an appointment with the President. Your office had turned me down and misunderstood my last request. I hope you can make some time for me.

While I am still capable of speaking, I would like to meet with you in order to help you not only further understand this devastating disease but also the stigmas, global public ignorance and lack of research and funding. I believe with your help we can change society’s view and understanding of this disease.

I will be in Washington, DC on Saturday June 16 to Wednesday June 20, 2018 and I would be grateful to have an opportunity to meet with you then or sooner. If those days are not convenient I am able to meet with you any other day and time you select.

I would be appreciative of any time you can give me, my time is short and I would like to make my voice heard before it leaves me.
