Am first hand learning from the comments am getting, about the challenges of taking public positions on contentious issues with so many dimensions.

In a Linkedin Post you cannot cover all angles. Anyways for the benefit of the readers here is a letter below outlining my default positions on the issue of Hamas, Palestine and Israel. I don’t form opinions easily & I don’t change them easily.

I am a supporter of Palestine as they are the wronged party in the conflict.

I don’t agree with the mission & strategy of the Hamas resistance movement. I am urging them to revise their mission & strategy coz they have the potential to negatively influence & radicalise young muslim youth.

You can’t win with rocks & small rockets nor are we living in medieval times where Individual courage & bravery would have worked in hand to hand combat. Today the fight is uneven with massive Air Power & Ammunitions.

In the spirit of Peace, I support the Abraham Accords & normalising relations with Israel as it opens up opportunities to talk, build trade relations and influence the peace process.

Peace takes two to Tango & Israel knows that. Israel has to stop browbeating & seeking world attention as the victim, it is not and the world can see through their farce.

Its time to restart the peace process & address the core issue, i.e., Ending Occupation of Palestine. Until that happens it is a long road to people to people normalcy. The recent Jerusalem & Gaza events and loss of life don’t help.

Global Leaders - US, EU, UK, Russia & China should adopt a balanced approach

The world should adopt a balanced approach to the Israeli - Palestinian Conflict if they are credible & sincere in resolving the matter.

The western world cannot fool people any longer just by empty rhetoric & in the same breath talking about special relationship and Israel has the right to defend itself by all means against people with no real means & resources to fight.

British People, the supporters of the Jewish cause & creators of Israel & the Palestinian Conflict, that is consuming the whole world seem to have absolved themselves of their role & any guilt in the suffering that is going on for 72 long years. No Leadership & engagement, No Statements of support & assistance. Hmmm. Disappointed.
