Dear G-d, my prayer for mercy.

Dear G-d
We are crying to you from the depths of despair. Your children are hungry and afraid. Your absence has been sorely felt for a long time, so your priests have been covering up for you. Turn your face to us and hold us all in your embrace since we can no longer touch one another. We need your consolation and the promise of better things to come. We need to know that our lives and our deaths are not in vain. We no longer say to you ‘teach me’, rather we say to you “love me” and parent me. Earth is not your laboratory, it is your crowning glory and we say to you that we have sinned in our lack of effort to curate your living temple and its gentle creatures that we have been charged with protecting. We invite you back into our hearts and our loves that have been too full of idol-worship. We no longer see the allure of celebrity-worship and we now know that the super-heroes of this world are the channels for your healing on earth, those who willing put their lives on the line every day for the good of the many.
Thank you Adonai Elohay. I hope that you will accept our invitation to return to our midst.
Your daughter
Chaya-Bati’a Esther bat Reuven V’ Chana. ( Belinda Metlitzky Silbert.)
