Dear Ex
I wish this letter finds a way to you.
It brings a smile on my face when I remember the first time we met and had a real conversation. I remember the way you looked in my eyes while introducing yourself.
And it brings tears in my eyes when I remember the way it all ended. I remember how messy we had become.
I won’t lie. I hated you when we broke up. Hate is a strong word, but then again, my feelings for you had always been stronger.
I was heartbroken and often felt hopeless after you left. It wasn’t a pleasant view to watch.
I tried to move on, but I failed. Multiple times.
I tried dating other girls to move on, but apparently, that didn’t help.
There were ’n’ other things going in my life, and it was one of the worst phases for me.
And my therapist helped me move on.
How do you ask?
The first step was to forgive you – to let go of all the anger I was holding for you.
It took some time, but I did that. I forgave you.
I FORGIVE YOU, EX.
I tried being in your shoes.
Whatever you did was maybe a bit selfish, but I understand – it was probably the best thing you could have done for yourself.
It’s all in the past now.
I know it’s going to be hard for me to say this – But I wish you health and wellness.
I wish you never go through what I have been through.
I don’t want you back in my life. But if we ever cross paths someday in the market, I’d certainly love to give you a hug – for you have given me infinite beautiful memories too.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life. And I pray nothing but wellness to you.
May you get a partner better than me, and a relationship better than ours.
With Love and Gratitude
Dipanshu Rawal.
