Dear Employee (Soon-to-Entrepreneur), Quit Complaining!
Bankole Williams
I equip the minds of individuals and employees of Corporate institutions to get great work done in less time so they can surpass their performance targets & those of their employers | Member of the Forbes Coaches Council
You complain about that "wicked boss" you currently work with; whilst I do not condone his behaviour, could he be unknowingly helping you build capacity to manage that difficult client; the one that often opens the biggest door.
You complain that you were redeployed to finance yet you have no interest in numbers. Well, when you start your business, NUMBERS? That is all you will be interested in.
You use the employer's resources (work hours & internet) for your personal entertainment - "after all, it is not my father's business". Well, imagine your future staff doing same (only in greater measures)
You complain that you work a 9? ?t?o? ?5? 5 to 9 & cannot wait till you have your own business to have your own time. Guess what? You will soon get the memo - Entrepreneurship is 24/7 (if you truly plan to succeed quickly)
You treat your colleagues like trash; it is just a matter of time, you'll be leaving them anyway right? Well, when you start your business, guess who your first customers would be? Your "t?r?a?s?h?" colleagues!
You lazy around thinking you are 'doing the organization'. Well, you were merely practicing for your future - a perfectly lazy entrepreneur. Lol
You do not generate business leads or income for organization. After all, 'I hate selling'. When you become an entrepreneur, you will understand the frustration when ONLY YOU generates income for the business
You nag about your salary yet know nothing about your company's financials. Your future e?m?p?l?o?y?e?e?s? "naggers" are 'doing press-ups'. In my own opinion, the greatest skill required to succeed in business is DOGGEDNESS; your current job is your training ground to acquire this.
If you are not faithful in another man's own, who would give you yours? Your dreams are actualised when you interpret another man's dreams.
It will be unwise for an e?m?p?l?o?y?e?r? employee to assume this post j?u?s?t?i?f?i?e?s? excuses the bad behaviour of employers.

5 年Aptly captured.....This is very true.....''You treat your colleagues like trash; it is just a matter of time, you'll be leaving them anyway right? Well, when you start your business, guess who your first customers would be? Your "t?r?a?s?h?" colleagues''!

5 年Wow. Brilliant. This is just very correct. The employee experience is preparation for the entrepreneurial experience. It's right to take a global view of your organisation sometimes to appreciate what you'll be experiencing when you become an entrepreneur. Great post here!
