Dear diconium family...
Farewell, diconium family!

Dear diconium family...

After 26 years, I’m saying goodbye today. I can look back on almost three decades with wonderful companions and trailblazers, touching moments, and formative milestones – both personally and professionally. I’m proud of what we have accomplished together: from dmc to diconium to the partnership with Volkswagen.

Saying goodbye to you all and diconium is not easy.

I built the company with Daniel back in 1995. We have had so many good and just a few bad times together – always side by side, with the same goal in mind: bringing out the best for diconium. We share a relationship full of trust and closeness. Together with Andreas and, for more than a year now, Anja, we have set the course for diconium’s growth and success. And you can rest assured that this strong team will continue to provide continuity and progressiveness.

We always stepped outside of our comfort zones. We searched for innovation in the market, notably for our own development. This demanded a lot of patience and trust on your part – I’m grateful that you always supported us in our endeavours. Even in 2014, when we broke new ground with diconium as a group. With Markus, Marcus, and Tobi now assuming leadership roles, we have gained trustworthy and strong personalities for the management and direction of our company.

The company’s success has allowed us to grow steadily over the past few years. We’ve not only gained valuable coworkers, but also exciting clients, who have remained loyal to us over the years thanks to your work. When I think of our shared history as a company, I think of many different milestones that have shaped this period. But for me, the collaborations with Daimler and the Volkswagen Group are probably the greatest success stories of the past five years. With these steps, we’ve not only securely positioned ourselves as a company, but we’ve also managed to set new standards. Our bravery has also been a topic of conversation beyond the borders of this industry.

The decision to leave diconium was, by no means, an easy one. But I’m also looking forward to breaking new ground, experimenting. You know me, I’m always looking for and yearning for movement and development – especially at 53 years old. I would like to pass on the profound experience I have gained after 26 years with you all at diconium, create something new, make a splash. And so, I will pursue my innermost aspirations, my passion, and my curiosity and fully embrace new challenges. It will always be about building bridges between the analogue and the digital.

As the founder, I will always be connected to diconium and you all – through our shared history, our togetherness, and, last but not least, our many successful projects in the future that we’ve already initiated. We’ll stay in touch! And if there’s a free pass for founders, then we’ll see each other at the summer and Christmas parties – that much is certain.

Thank you for your trust.

Yours truly,

Andy
