Dear Customer, We need to talk!

Hey hi, how are you?, I am business, hope you are doing well. I just wanted to have a word with you.

Scared? No no, please don’t be, I am sure till now nobody has spoken to you in this tone because,

‘You are the king and will always be’

You must have heard about economy slow down & all, sales not happening, stocks are down, e-commerce companies are bleeding, in fact, many businesses. Just wanted to share my feelings as a business:

1. To give you home delivery at your doorstep in any weather, I have to deploy many delivery boys/girls, it's a huge cost.

2. To give you that washing powder at that price, I have to spend crores of rupees just to make you aware that I exist.

3. While you walk in the mall admiring the well lit bright shops, I have to pay lakhs of rentals to make that happen.

4. Noticed my ever-smiling staff who is ready to help you in the store, he travels two hours in the morning every day, because he can’t afford a home in that area, just to make sure that you get what you need.

5. While you quickly judge my products/services without even trying me enough, I don’t get enough honest feedback to improve myself but cursory tick marks if I ask you feedback.

I know there might be more flaws in me sometimes not been able to give you what you need/want but just wanted you to know that it takes a lot of efforts to make you happy

Nothing personal against you, but wanted to share my side of the story. Remember,

‘You are the kind and always will be’

Views expressed are personal.

Dear Business, we the new 50s have enough money and time for you. But you seem to focus on millennials. All your communication just cater to them. Thats ok - we will save the money in banks/MFs or spend it on foreign jaunts. Poor you. :)

Dear Business, I am very busy these days in trying to sort out how I need to spend my limited resources for the various desires and needs that I have. If you are able to observe me and take some pains to understand me, I am sure we can have a meaningful conversation. However, unfortunately, most of the time you try to reach out to me when I am busy or occupied with something else. Hope someday that timing is right.
