Job Purpose:
To Collaborate with the Institutional Head, Dean Academic serves as the chief academic officer of the college and is responsible for educational policy and academic programs. This includes program review and improvement, accreditation and self-evaluation, assessment of student learning and advancement of student success, academic personnel decisions, budget development, enrolment management, fiscal accountability, program and curriculum development, and the encouragement and improvement of teaching and learning.

Desired Qualifications
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized University.
A Ph.D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in this Regulation in Appendix III for direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges.
A total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
Understanding mission, its educational and financial issues, State University/ UGC rules and the changing role of self-financed degree colleges
Demonstrated advocacy for and addressing the needs of the underprepared student;
Commitment to academic quality and standards
