Dealing with Haters

Some people will always oppose you, and the only time that will cease is when you are dead—and if you believe in reincarnation, you will be back to deal with it again. Some people run from it, hide, flee, ignore, attack, and others let it drag them down and distract them from their purpose. Some people even go into depression and give up on life. But if you’re reading this book, I want to believe that you are one that attacks or tries at the very least to do something about it. 

When people resist me, it just means that I’m actually on the right course. Average people do what the masses do, and successful people usually do the opposite of that. As a result, if I know I am doing something the masses wouldn’t do, I know I am on the right course. I don’t lose sleep over what others are doing because that’s not the group I want to belong to anyway. 

Remember, only about 5 percent of the population in the United States of America makes over $200,000. And that percentage just gets smaller and smaller the higher you go. So, don’t you think that in order to reach higher levels you are going to have to be different? Don’t you think that person will think and act differently? Of course, they will! 

Sometimes, the hate can be extreme. People have screwed me over, spread lies and gossip, and tried to damage my reputation. That’s hard to deal with, and earlier in life, I would just take the high road. 

However, over the years, I have come to realize that this is incorrect. When someone attacks your business or reputation, you attack back with fury! Especially when you have amassed a certain degree of power. This is your time to use every ethical resource you have, attack back, and make an example out of them. It’s far better being a person of power and not being afraid to use it than being a person of power and sitting like a duck.  

When you have power, you need to use it, and you need to be ethical about it. I personally am not the type to sit back and play the nice guy. When people try to falsely smear my reputation, I will fight back because my reputation means a lot to me. 

The ultimate deciding factor between who was right and wrong in any argument, difference of opinion is in the end result—when two people separate, which one is doing better in life? You can apply this in every aspect of life. If my ex-business partner says he was the brains, then why after we separated I triple my business income? Wouldn’t it have been the opposite?  

If I was unstable today in my business and not doing well, then yes, I was wrong. But that didn’t happen. And that’s how you know. Statistics and products are the ultimate representation of who was correct. 

All of that being said, the best revenge is to flourish and prosper because haters are jealous and miserable people. They realize they can’t be who you are, or they are too lazy to make the effort. Even worse, the thing that haters hate in you is within them—remember that. If they tried and failed to create a business, they will take it out on you because you figured it out and they didn’t. What a horrible existence and a waste of time!
