Dead Fish

I’m an emotional creature, I use my heart in more than 98% of interactions. In the classroom, I was never the smartest, I just kept pushing through until the subject made sense. On the football field, I was never the most talented, but I had relentless effort. What separated my talents from the rest was the heart inside of my chest, I made a conscious decision to never give up.

I choose to be relentless, fearless & filled with a holy presence that few greats understand. In life, there are so many opportunities to become successful, triumphant or a star. The moment of truth, is only when you look defeat in the eye & step on it’s toes.

You have to know deep within yourself that you have what it takes to live the life you want. The people around you must understand you care about them and their goals. People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. For if we work together, there is an opportunity to change the world. In the midst of changing the world, we change our world, we change our heart. The feeling goes from hurt, weakness and help, to joy, peace and enlightenment. You must believe in yourself. I’ve never been the absolute best, but I will outwork the

best, I will outwit the best, I will do what is necessary to succeed. I don't believe in cutting corners and i’m willing to keep my dignity. We should discipline our efforts to become, do and believe in the greater vision we have for mankind, humanity & our people. Stay tuned, be blessed and realize that everything you need is right within you and has always been there with you from the beginning.

In order for me to explain this chapter, I must share a metaphor. Pay close attention to the message I present.

Dead fish don’t go with the flow. They have to because their precious soul has left the Earth, and now their bodies are left here. Whether the fish would like to float or swim somewhere else, it can’t, it can only go with the flow because it is dead. Dead fish don’t have any options. They must go with the current. As time passes, they sink to the bottom and deteriorate or flow to the side banks.

First the fish is alive with options. They can reproduce, communicate, eat, and swim upstream. Swimming upstream can be difficult, in fact, it’s really tough and takes large amounts of muscles to move the body of a fish to supersede the flow. However, it’s possible.

Planes can’t fly unless they go against the current. Nobody in life ever gets ahead, or where they want to go, with the flow. In order to fly, prosper and survive, we must go against the grain. We must go against the current, you must do what others are not willing to do to come out polished. I guarantee that when you taste this necessary discipline you will never want to taste mediocrity again!

The possibilities for you are endless and when you are swimming upstream just remember that dead fish go with the flow and we are all alive so take this moment to do what is necessary to keep fighting going against the grain and moving toward your goal. Dead fish flow and that ain’t you!

There is a reason why you are reading this book, it’s because you’re different. You are seeking a unique experience, you want an improved life. Through this book, you will encounter opposition, you will learn a bit about me you will improve adverse scenarios through your life that have challenged you.

I encourage you to follow your heart. Life is too short. We must find happiness in the life we live. I envision success in your life, I envision, joy, prosperity, peace above all else. When people look into your eyes, they will know something is different

about you. They will know, that you have changed the way you lived, learn and love by the way you encounter others, how you study & by the love you share with each soul you encounter.

You are a change leader, you seek new opposition and you are ready to conquer fear, anxiety and thoughts of mediocrity. Today and every day, you are going to move at a new pace, you will walk different, you will talk different and the souls you encounter will feel it. They will know by your presence. They will know by your smile and they will know by the warmth you present.

There are many reasons why you are reading this but one that stands out is fact and the fact is you are alive. You are alive and well. You are not dead. You are not a fish and you are not going with the flow. You seek something new in life, you yearn to take a chance and discover what is new with you and this beautiful Earth we live on.
