I am happy to share a UNHCR initiative, De nuestra mesa a la suya/Cocina Fusión – From our table to yours/Cuisine Fusion cookbook, a collection of 14 recipes from refugees in the Latin America and the Caribbean. It is more than a cookbook, more like a storybook, as chefs share their personal stories of being forced to flee their homes to find another. It is also a fusion, as these passionate contributors combine the flavors from where they are from and their host countries.?

The recipes not only will help prepare delicious food, but also demonstrate that through food, refugees can find a way to preserve their origins, share experiences and integrate into their host country.
