DDIP: "THE"? Digital Deepak Internship Program - Helping me Pave the Path to Success

DDIP: "THE" Digital Deepak Internship Program - Helping me Pave the Path to Success

TL-DR Version

In a nutshell, if you want to know about the Digital Deepak Internship Program, I would like to tell you that I can vouch for this program. Rather than investing in MBA, it is much better to complete this Internship. The reason I can say this is that it gives you hands-on experience of executing all the digital marketing tricks and that too for your own business rather than someone else’s. It will not only give you guidance but also help you avoid all those negative factors like procrastination, lack of direction, lack of motivation, and other excuses.

You can join this Internship, regardless of your age and professional background. Trust me, it will be a life-changing experience for you. At the end of the four months, you will be more confident and RICHER in terms of knowledge and perhaps money.

If this makes you curious, you can apply for the Internship right away.

How I got to know Digital Deepak? (Setting the background of my story)

A couple of years back, I got in touch with Deepak Kanakaraju. He was looking for a freelance content writer and me, being an *unemployed* dentist was looking for work, other than “dentistry”. It was like a blessing in disguise for me. A special mention to the founder of iScribblers, Priyanka Desai for referring me to “THE” Digital Deepak.

While everyone else knows “Digital Deepak” as a seasoned digital marketing professional, I have been fortunate enough to have got a chance to “work” with him and have him in my WhatsApp contact list. I truly admire his work ethic. Very few clients actually make an effort to appreciate the “freelance” content writers they work with. It is sad, right? Deepak is one of those clients who went a step ahead and paid me “extra” for the great work I had done. I had always thought you only get extra marks for neatness in examinations but this came as a pleasant surprise.

That marked the beginning of a wonderful association with one of the most (or I could say, THE MOST) proficient digital mentors in India.

I became a part of his “email list” and started receiving regular emails on lead generation tips and tricks and his interesting stories. It intrigued me and made me look forward to his emails.

Then, LOCKDOWN happened because of COVID-19 pandemic and my company went fully remote.

Since I could save the commute time, I got an hour more to work on my own skills. I started reading more of the things that Digital Deepak talked about in his emails.

The Digital Masters Conference (April 2020)

Then, one fine day on the 10th of April 2020, I received his “WHATSAPP” message, inviting me to the virtual Digital Masters Conference. He told me that the payment would be sent to the pandemic relief funds. Besides the noble cause that I was going to contribute to, I was excited to learn something new from “NINE” different digital marketers under one roof.

After the conference, I was overwhelmed with so much “information”… Instagram, Video Marketing, Deep Marketing – There was a huge content to consume, but honestly, I was still directionless.

Of course, I knew some basics about digital marketing but there was no motivation and I resisted doing anything new.

I knew that I needed to have a website to impress the prospects.

I knew that I must write an ebook to reach out to more people and share my decade-long experience in the field of writing.

I knew that Instagram and YouTube videos had an ocean of opportunities if done right.

However, I did not have anyone to say “Ready, Get Set Go”. I was just there at the starting line looking around at the people walking past me and getting ahead of me.

It was so frustrating!!!

Another great thing happened a few days later.

I received an email announcement for the “Digital Deepak Internship Program” (DDIP, in short!). What caught my eye was their 100% cashback offer. It piqued my curiosity and I immediately applied.

Sadly, even after my application confirmation, I was not able to enroll myself in it.

ENTRY TO THE INTERNSHIP

A month or so passed. I opened my email inbox to see yet another DDIP invitation email. I applied yet again. It was for “Batch 4”.

This time, luck was in my favor and I got enrolled in it.

I became a part of an exuberant group of Interns on Telegram. It was a different feeling — a feeling of returning back to college. With due respect to dentistry, I had never experienced that feeling in my “dental college”. It was all work and no play kind of a scenario, but this internship had a wonderful vibe along with the huge storehouse of information awaiting me.

In July 2020, my journey to transformation began!

The internship is spread over several weeks with every week dedicated to different marketing tactics, namely… OH well, I won’t reveal it. Things are more fun if there is an element of suspense. Just dropping you a hint that it will show you everything that you can do with your skills and make money.

We even got to be a part of a group based on our personalities. Such a fun thing!

Without revealing any spoilers, I will talk about my experience with this Internship program, starting from week 1.

Week 1…

I was nervous. I had taken up this Internship and paid some ????* for it but I knew that I had to juggle between work and home. I had to strike the right balance between making my career and enjoying my life and being at peace.

(*: Note that ???? here represents money! Do not take the digits literally…)

I was scared of not being able to complete the weekly assignments on time.

The first video got released and after watching it, my entire perspective towards making a career changed. It was a helluva inspiring session that left me with an adrenaline rush. I was determined to do something beyond the 9-to-5 job.

Overall, the first video will be a dose of enlightenment that will change your life (for good). The assignment in this week has given me something to look forward to, every day.

Week 2

The second week, again, was an insightful video about marketing tricks. There were certain things I already had an idea about but there were several others that I had heard for the first time. Those concepts set the foundational stone of the entire Internship program.

Week 3

I had never thought of promoting myself. It made me feel shy because I was scared of facing people. The Internship made me realize that I could be an IELTS trainer and I could help IELTS aspirants achieve a higher band score. It taught me that I have to tell people that:

“Hey, I have achieved CLB level 10 in my IELTS examination. Let me help you.”

It gave me the confidence that if you are good at something, never do it for free.

Week 4

I had joined the Internship, particularly for this week because it was about creating your own WordPress website. I used to dread the thought of building my own website, getting it hosted, and those complicated terms like Google Analytics and the like. The other thing was that I had no clue about the cost involved. This Internship cleared all those clouds of self-doubt and helped me create my own website from scratch. Special mention to Kamna Jain for all her insightful Q&A sessions. What would we do without you, Kamna? Thank you

Week 5

Week 5 was a lot about honing my own skills and the only week where I knew a lot about what was taught.

Week 6

Week 6 again pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me do something that I had never done. It helped me get rid of the fear of talking to people and networking. I used to avoid doing all that, but this Internship has made me somewhat extrovert and taught me how to convey your message to people more effectively.

Week 7

Phew! Week 7 was a rollercoaster ride. I had never thought I could generate leads or send out cold emails. Had it not been for DDIP, I would have still stayed in that cocoon of the corporate job without knowing how businesses work.

Week 8 and 9

Wait till week 8 and 9 if you want to see how your business can roll faster. Brace yourself because this week onwards, you will be able to generate much more traffic and leads for your business, thereby yielding more money.

Week 10

I thought that the assignments would get tougher with every week, but all my fears were proved wrong. The assignments are challenging enough to make you do something you have never done, but they are not that difficult. Like I said earlier, Deepak, Kamna, Krishna, and Divya are always there to solve your concerns.

Week 10 was a cakewalk for me as I had thoroughly digested the video on that topic. That holds true for all the weeks, by the way. If you understand Deepak’s video on the topic and the Q&A session, the assignments will hardly take 3-4 hours (or even fewer hours).

Week 11

Week 11 was supposed to be another tough assignment but if you have a teacher like Deepak and a mentor like Kamna, nothing in digital marketing is tough. I had heard all those complicated names like Zapier, Convertkit, Typeform, Zap, etc. only at my office or while writing articles on Third-party integration. Using them was a great experience. It made me understand how large businesses work and what kind of tools they have to use.

SOME SECRETS:

Did I mention that I completed all the assignments on the last date of submission? Well, that’s because I can work better when there is too much pressure!!!

Do not worry about the assignments. If I can complete all of them, being a totally non-technical person, you can, too!

FAQs:

Q. Can I join Digital Deepak Internship if I am a student?

A. Yes, of course. Who knows, you might have a job even before you finish your studies.

Q. Is DDIP suitable for working professionals or entrepreneurs?

A. To cut the long story short, DDIP is suitable for everyone. Whether you are a working professional or an entrepreneur looking forward to building his or her own business, the Internship will set a new dimension for your own career growth.

P.S. It is for every age group. Age is no bar when it comes to learning digital marketing.

Q. I am a housewife. Would I be able to cope up with the Internship assignments?

A. I understand your concern. If you are anxious because you have a kid to take care of or parents to look after, set all your apprehension free. You only need to dedicate 6 hours in a week (approximately) for the video as well as completing the assignment.

Q. What do I have to pay for the Internship?

A. Don’t worry about the payment. What you get out of this Internship will go a long way in building yourself as a brand.  It will be a nominal fee as a token amount for all the knowledge you will gather.

Some other things I came to know in this Internship:

Did you know there is a tool with the help of which you can generate your blog titles?

Did you know that setting up a website and hosting it along with a security certificate does not cost more than Rs. 2000?

There are tools with the help of which you can send “tailormade” emails that give a feeling of exclusivity to the recipient.

Cold emailing is not as discouraging as people portray it to be. (You only need to convey why the person should get in touch with you or reply.)

I shall keep the rest of the things for you to figure out in the Internship.

My Future: As Shaped by Digital Deepak internship Program

I always used to think of myself as a working professional who would never be able to get independent as an entrepreneur or business owner. This Internship broadened my vision and put me out there in the world.

The Internship has given me direction to write my own ebook and sell it through Instamojo. I met so many people who were sailing in the same boat as me. One of them recommended “Gumroad” to sell my products. I just signed up on it and I am all set to launch my 1:1 consultation call for “content writers”.

I have already started working on my ebook through LucidPress. I am looking forward to launching it on or before 1st January 2021.

Before this Internship, I was scared to dream but now, I have started weaving dreams and working towards making them true. I am no longer afraid to challenge my own self to cross different milestones in life.

I have started working on building my own tribe and followers on my Facebook page

Have a look and follow me if it looks interesting to you.

I am also trying to build my LinkedIn profile where I share content writing tips and tricks in addition to IELTS preparation tips —- the two things I am good at.

Follow me if you find it relevant

A month to go…

I still have a month to go for the completion of my Internship, so I have not shared anything about Week 12 to the remaining weeks.

However, I would like to mention that I am not any less excited. I cannot wait to complete all the assignments and be among the top 100 digital marketers of Batch 4.

The Josh is really very high and I am waiting to see the businesswoman in me, once Christmas ends.

2020 has been a difficult year but it has become a memorable year for me as I got a chance to unlock the hidden potential that I had in me.

I have always been curious to learn different things and what I have learned through this Internship will stay with me forever. Getting cashback in return for implementing the digital marketing tactics has been a huge motivation for me.

I liked your writing skills. You have explained the whole thing in a very simple manner, that shows how excellent you are at good content writing. On and on as I was reading I was actually feeling the whole journey as if I am the part of it. Really appreciate.
