The DC Permanent Magnet Motor or Generator
Without going into a mass of calculations this motor can also be a generator.
There is a laid down method in the books to do these calculations all based on a particular method worked out to make it work.
There have been many variations but the same theory is still used not much has changed.
A car was invented with a motor in the front to drive the wheels at the back with a transmission.
Then several variations of this then transpired, motor at the rear, the east west motor in the front, some had it in the centre.
Most cases it still had four wheels and an engine, even now it had gone to an electric motor or motors. It is still a car with an engine just re arranged components.
So what if all the components in this permanent magnet motor were also all changed around?
Look at the layout of some of the components, the stator windings is said have to be laid down in a particular way, and the same for the magnets in the rotor.
I looked at all this and said WHY?
A magnet has two sides both of equal strength but opposite polarity.
The coils wound and laid down in a set pattern who said that this was the only way?
Other people were looking at this as well and made a wind powered generator but laid the coils of the stator flat and the magnets were then put in a rotor in and axial pattern.
Yes they did generate power but once again they followed the so called laid down method from the books for an electric motor. Like the Siemens washing machine motor someone experimented and found it could be a good generator.
All followed the same rules someone laid down, and like sheep all followed.
Then others made some different magnetic motor all used the same rules.
Well I said stuff the rules I will do it my way.
Many experiments and trial later I have a new rearranged permanent magnet motor, but with a difference.
Not only could this be a motor at the same time is was also a generator, it had torque output and electrical power output. Then the other difference, it put out more electrical power than it used, but still conformed to the total energy in equals total energy out plus the losses.
This was a very crude made machine with what I could lay my hands on in my workshop but for some parts that had to be bought.
It has wat is called a COP of 1.5 to 3, but it could not be a perpetual machine as it required the battery. It could output some power, but some power could only re-charge the battery.
Benallie used a process of high pulsed voltages, in some of his experiments, most people also put diodes across coils due to the BEMF in a motor, but I did not, I collected the BEMF.
I had the unit run under supervision by an appropriate person to get is certified.
The report also added a few notes on what it could possibly be achieved with the ‘device’.
There some was interest and a number of people came to see it running there was one who was to invest but wanted too much control so I said no.
It was now cluttering up my work bench so I took it apart to start on my next venture, what will later become the plasma generator.
With the passing away of my wife everything stopped.
It is only in the last three or four years has the plasma project was got out of the mothballs.
Now once again the ‘motor generator’ was also came into the picture.
This was due to my younger brother having some health problems, and said I want to build Brian’s ‘motorgen’.
So now this project is well under way in the UK and my old one with new precise parts will be rebuilt once they arrive here in Australia.
The Mk2 version will have more stators and more coils. Testing has started to find out what is required for this new version.
So the expected output if it when fully to plan would see and output of between 2kw to 4kw, and if a new experimental stator is successful up to 6kW output.
The battery voltage to be used has not been fully set, it could be from 48v to 72v.
This will depend on the testing and the outputs voltages I prefer 72v, to give 4.3kW, for an input of around 850watts. With the experimental stator taking the output to 6kw for the same input of electrical power giving a COP of 7.
Even worst case 3.5kW for the 840w input is still a good result to me.
With my old one rebuilt it may put out over 2kw.
None of these break any of the set rules of total input to total output plus losses.
Time will tell but you have to put faith in yourself and sometimes forget those ‘set rules’.
As for the plasma project that is still progressing slowly.

1 年a further update yes April 1, fools day, this is not. the MK 2 Home generation there was some problems, when I arrived in England, it was not built as I wanted, so it's performance was not as required. modification were made to eliminate as many electronic components as possible and this work well. as it was almost identical to the original drive control. So now only the mechanical aspect needs to be up graded from the information gained. We hope soon to start on the Mk3, but our funds are limited. the out look is good but we will have difficulty in doing some of the building do to our workshop or the lack of a good one. we will continue though. the expected out put 14.4kw total electrical output, using 600w to 1.2kw to run it usable power then 13.2kw

3 年an interesting note, I have seen many DIY projects and I have just read one International Journal of Applied Power Engineering (IJAPE) D. Lahouel, D. Hedjazi, R. Abdessemed Sizing inductors of an axial flux synchronous generator Electrical Engineering Department, Mustafa Ben Boulaid University, Batna 2, Algeria and so the iagrams in this showing the layout of the coils and orientation well to me that is all wrong, I proved the point by building my own as you see from the above article. to me they all seem to follow the same teachings, well I did not listen, I used my own mind yes some of the rules were applied, but then they say I broke the rules because I have more ELECTRICAL POWER OUT THEN I USED that I proved that I could do it and I still am, The new one just being designed using the information that I have gathered will or could generate 18kw of useful power, some used to drive it. but not much more than the one that I am testing at the moment. The new model being put together in the UK at the moment indication are that is could manage just short of 6Kw for about 800wats input.

3 年the testing continues on the new upgraded unit and it is successfully working this technology in now aimed at off grid power and the one in the UK is ready but waiting for control system from me. That unit is much larger for the purpose of generation but still uses the same technology.

3 年A new up date the 'original' unit revamped is almost back together, this unit is only a test unit, but I will be able to do a direct comparison, as the only thing that has really changed is the structure, and there is now a much closer tolerance and it will also run smother. So once running I will be able to compare the old with the new. The real upmarket unit is also now well into construction in the UK, expected output for this on depending on the final build would be in the order of 4kw to 7kw. but with part used to run the unit, same principle as most power stations they generate X amount and use some of it for the running of the plant.
