Decade-long partnerships on the Asian continent: DBL adds more vehicles to TecnoFerrari-branded fleet

The Fiorano-based company that has been producing tile #handling machinery for more than 60 years has long espoused the concept of internationalization: from Bangladesh to China, TecnoFerrari-branded vehicles are helping to improve production facilities around the world. Such is the case of DBL Ceramics Limited , a leading Bangladeshi #ceramic company: it is one of the largest tile and large format production plants in #Bangladesh.

State-of-the-art #technology and machinery from world-renowned Italian brands help ensure the quality needed to meet a wide range of design and architectural requirements. DBL Ceramics' fully automated factory and production facilities ensure that every process follows the highest level of precision in creating product and process innovations. Just in the last period, the company invested again by requesting TecnoFerrari to supply TR2000 #storage machines, which are useful for loading and unloading large sizes, as well as several TGVBOX vehicles for the subsequent automatic handling of boxes and platforms. With a total of 14 vehicles with a capacity of 12 Tons each and magnet guided technology, DBL is fully capable of ensuring production standards among the highest in the Asian market.

Out of the new technologies that DBL wanted to install in its plant, the TR2000 is a simple and reliable roller box loading and unloading machine that allows very high #performance in terms of speed and accuracy of tile processing. A large central elevator enables the loading or unloading of two capacious roller boxes positioned sideways, moved through automatic TGV vehicles. Among the many plant solutions that can be adopted, the TR2000 placed directly in front of the kiln allows very high productions with a reduced number of cycles and no size limitations.

The TGV automatic vehicles are battery-powered #shuttles capable of moving automatically by following a track of permanent magnets embedded in the floor, which is therefore perfectly serviceable and safe for both wheeled vehicles and operators. TGV vehicles are equipped with sophisticated and reliable active and passive #safety systems to continuously monitor the entire surrounding space and avoid any accidental collisions; safety features include programmable laser virtual sensors, mechanical bumpers, side strips, audible warning devices and flashing signals.

Not only mechanics but also software and Industry 4.0: one of DBL's needs was to have production and storage data under control quickly and efficiently. This is where the work of TecnoFerrari's engineers came into play. They developed a system that allows all TecnoFerrari loading/unloading machines and vehicles to communicate with the customer company's #supervisor and/ or with their ERP system. This technology, installed on each machine, is capable of detecting #data such as machines statistics, state of productivity, storage inventory and many more, and then transmitting them in real time directly to the management system within DBL. In this way, nothing is left to chance and the customer can have access to a certain amount of information to control his production cycle quickly.
