Dazzle Angels is proud to announce their investment into SV Capital

SV Capital a South African first crowd-investing fund manager offering innovative investment products geared for digitization with the ability to efficiently scale have secured investment funding with Dazzle Angel. Co-Founded by Ayanda Majola and Kagiso Tloubatla in 2017, they are looking to open up investment to more South Africans.

Dazzle Angels is a female focused angel fund, that is led and funded by experienced businesswomen. Dazzle Angels invests in businesses that are founded or co-founded by at least one woman, and businesses that they believe they can help take to the next stage through their collective skills, experience and vast network.

“Our focus is on investment products that are structured to appeal to the traditional African concepts of value, perfectly placing SV Capital in a position to capture market share with consumers who may usually avoid the complex investment instruments managed by predominately conventional fund managers. The investment behind SV Capital by like-minded industry experts and thought leaders is encouraging”, says Ayanda Majola, SV Capital Managing Director.

“With the Dazzle Angels getting behind our mission, we are well placed to usher in the future of how people get access to investments in South Africa and the rest of the African Continent. The support from Dazzle Angels further validates the incredible African opportunity for our Fintech platform to reimagine and democratise the investment industry” continues Ayanda.

The funding will enable SV Capital to scale the business through growing their product portfolio, offering its products to a wider population which is a much-needed innovative investment solution to encourage financial inclusion.

The investment will assist SV Capital to invest in their platform thus ultimately enabling them to employ more people in the near future. This would translate into improved customer experience through their platform and introduce them to more innovative and alternative products made available to the lower and middles class market. This perfectly places SV Capital in a position to capture market share.

“We are truly excited about what the future will hold. Our intentions are to positively impact people's lives and address the socio-economic issues South Africa currently faces. We want to be pioneers in the ways in which our future and economy can grow, by not only joining forces, but also in the way we encourage and uplift each other. Together, we can close the gender and diversity gap in entrepreneurship and venture funding” concludes Ayanda.

SV Capital is an investment company that focuses on asset backed investments. They use fractional ownership to enable working class and professionals alike to invest as little as R 500 in a herd of cattle. They are also the first fund in South Africa to allow couples looking to fund lobola to do so through a separate fund in their portfolio.

“The business of SV Capital is culturally relevant for many Africans. It is a unique take on value addition and investing and it does both by looking at investments through a cultural lens and with new eyes. It resonates with the experiences of many African women and was co-founded by one.” Christine Kamugisha, Angel Investor – Dazzle Angels.

This investment brings Dazzle Angel’s portfolio to three investments since inception and is aligned with Dazzle Angel’s mandate to invest in businesses that have a positive impact on their community. Dazzle Angels is excited about how together, they can grow SV Capital’s base and positively impact financial inclusion in South Africa.

Big congrats KG and Ayanda!
