Days of Anguish and Rage – With a Bright Light at the End of a Dark Tunnel

Days of Anguish and Rage – With a Bright Light at the End of a Dark Tunnel

[THE FOLLOWING WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED IN CyberCozen - OCTOBER 2023 – there may be a few minor adjustments]

Over twenty townships and kibbutzim in the southern part of the State of Israel were brutally attacked in the morning of the 7th of October 2023, on the holy day of Sabbath that was also the joyous day of ‘Simkhat Tora/Simkhes Toyre/???? ?????’ (the annual celebration of the Bible).

You have probably heard much about the atrocities carried out on innocent civilians by Iran-backed terrorists from the Gaza strip – so I won’t go into describing the horrendous massacres and inhuman butchering carried out by them – or of the kidnapping of innocent, non-combatant children, mothers, fathers, and elderly folk. Hopefully, you have also heard of the heroism of those who did their utmost to protect the innocent and of the many who paid with their lives. You will also – again, hopefully – have heard of the charity, opened arms, and opened hearts of Jews across Israel and globally as our natural response to this difficult period, and of good friends – non-Jews – who were horrified by the inhumanity and cowardly conduct of these sub-humans.

The surprise assaults – and incursion – by over 1500 heavily armed terrorists (followed by a few thousand more Arab pillagers) that broke through numerous southern Israel border points with Gaza, was carried out with ruthless force and in a cowardly and inhuman and appalling manner by terrorist entities that have been called the new ISIS and the new Nazis.

Yes, there are many similarities in the philosophies and practical conducts of these sub-humans that belong to the terror organizations known as Hamas, with the active assistance of others, such as the Islamic Jihad. Yes, they are likened to ISIS, El-Qaida, Taliban, and the Nazis – and supported by radical, fundamentalist, Iran. However, the atrocities carried out by these evil people are not very much different than what the Jewish people have suffered for the last (almost) 2000 years.

For someone not familiar with Jewish history – this may seem like a fantasy story of the ‘Horror’ genre. For Jews, unfortunately, it is nothing new:

World history tells of the horrors of the expulsion by the Roman Empire (which no longer exists) from our home in the Land of Israel, through the various wanderings across Christian Europe and Trans-Arab Muslim occupied territories and countries. We were persecuted in and/or expulsed from such places as England, France, Germany, Spain, and Portugal, and in most of Eastern Europe – as well as in most Muslim countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Iraq, etc. – although this, mostly in the last 2 centuries) – culminating in terrible massacres during the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Khmelnitsky Uprising (1648-57), pogroms, WWI, and the Holocaust of WWII – and more pogroms and expulsions across the Arab-Muslim world before, during, and especially after WWII.

In my Yiddish science-fiction book “Di Geheime Shlihes” (1980 - page 77) I touch on this theme, that each such historical anti-Semitic episode is a chapter in a tome I termed “dos blut bukh” – The Blood Book, which is actually a computerised data repository of this ongoing terror.

This most recent horror was carried out by the so-called ‘heroes’ of the Muslim-Arab world calling themselves ‘Palestinians’(*) – with the aid of other such false ‘heroes’, and that are illogically supported worldwide (including by some self-hating Jews who are often dubbed ‘useful idiots’).

(*there never was an Arab nation ‘Palestine’. The name was stolen from the Jews who lived in the Land of Israel, renamed by the Romans as punishment for daring to try to fight free of their totalitarian rule, some 2000 years ago)

Are these truly your heroes (!!??), I ask the Muslim world and the supporters of these ‘freedom fighters’ (whose ‘fight’ is to actually suppress and eradicate freedom):

·?????? child molesters

·?????? rapists

·?????? murderers

·?????? kidnappers

·?????? suicide bombers

·?????? anti LGBTQ

·?????? anti equality for women

·?????? etc.

They are immoral elements who always justify their ‘means’ with cold lies and treachery to reach some meaningless ‘ends’ which in the short and long run is nothing but a dark and ugly future for all of Mankind (male and female, young and old) – including their own brainwashed peoples.

Unfortunately, this is yet another grim chapter to be recorded in the aforementioned ‘blut bukh’ (Blood Book) of Jewish – and World – history.

But this is by no means the end of Freedom and Liberal thinking. It is perhaps a critical moment and opportunity to block the coming of a new Dark Age – and challenge that cold darkness, and overcome that bleakness, with a bright light to once and for all eradicate the justification for terror. This is the current and long-term mission that the State of Israel has set out for itself in our corner of the world – the dismantling and total eradication of Hamas and the other terror organizations in Gaza and Judea-Samaria (mistakenly called the ‘West bank’) of the Land of Israel, of the People of the Book, who are and will be the bearers of Light among Nations.

The war against Darkness is never an easy one, nor will a ‘quick fix’ be the answer. It will take some time, but in the end – God willing – the light will drive away the darkness for a brighter future for one and all.

May the memory and valiant sacrifices of those who underwent the horrors of the past, shine and nurture the much-needed warmth and light of our and the World’s future.? ?

Thank you for your understanding and for the kind words of concern and support I’ve received.

CyberCozen will be back in its normal mode – ASAP. Take care!
