This weekend we met Brenda the Bush Turkey's cousin, Beryl. She thinks she's a dinosaur. She's building the world's biggest nest.
Also Larry the Lizard who posed provocatively for a photo.
And here's Jo, a mix between a dinosaur and a lizard who often behaves like a Bush Turkey, refusing to give up if her T-shirt is anything to go by. How many more of these blogs have we got to suffer!
For someone who is not known to enjoy exercise, Jo's done pretty well. You might think “Anyone can do that.” Well actually, no..not everyone can!
She hit the target 5 days ahead of schedule, whilst working full time, often during the night in Aus and day in the UK, on very little sleep.
Whilst undertaking this challenge, she injured her knee, had a chesty virus, lost her voice, and travelled to the other side of the World with the accompanying jet lag.
Take into account she's a bush turkey not a spring chicken, with an autoimmune disease that makes her tired, osteoarthritis in her feet and an implantable heart monitor because she keeps having “funny turns”.
So Jo is congratulating herself! She'd like to say she'd determinedly walked/run further so she's not stopping yet. After all, she's doing this with her little Mum always at the front of her mind.
If you’d like to keep Jo motivated, here’s the link to donate. We’re at £531. We'd love to get to £600.00 before the end of the month.
