A day at work providing cleaning services at South Western Railway.

No two days are ever the same for Sasse Group UK at our South Western Railway contract; from signal failures and strikes, to trespassers and train delays. These are just some of the obstacles that our teams must be prepared for in a day.??

We manage the cleaning of 180 stations across the network from day to day, covered by our many route operatives Monday to Friday, along with several static stations which have 7 days a week cleaning. We strive to achieve a high standard of cleaning across all of the stations in our care.?

The day starts off with our team members setting up their work caddies which carry all the tools and chemicals to get the job done. Each operative has a schedule of work to follow which will have multiple stations per day that need to be maintained. From washrooms, bridges and subways to car parks, litter picking and railings, we cover a lot of ground.??

Once all tasks for the day are finished at their first station, the operatives hop on the train and travel down to their next station and repeat, always greeting people as we go and offering any help to those who may need it.??

Our Supervisors will do regular daily checks on each of the routes and take part in joint audits with SWR. This helps to measure where we are with the cleaning across the sites and gives our operatives the praise they deserve and pointers on areas that may need more attention.??

The SWR network is a very busy environment, but we work in partnership with the RO2s to help maintain a high standard at all stations.??

Team work makes the dream work!?
