A Day is a Week | Virtual Cheers to 2023

One of CivicEye's guiding principles is "A Day is a Week ," which helps drive tremendous perspective across our team about respecting deadlines, understanding dependencies, and, more than anything, valuing time. So, as we kick off 2023, it's wild to think that exactly one year ago today,?we launched CivicEye ?with an established set of software products into the public safety industry to serve communities around the country.?

In the past year, we've shared our vision across America and?met Police Chiefs ,?District Attorneys , and the?gamut of public safety professionals ?who have dedicated their time to improving the lives of the communities they serve -?and our message resonated with them .?

I'm particularly proud of our team,?which grew by 3x throughout 2022 , and their willingness to help steer the business as we set the foundation for scale and?pushed into new markets . On the heels of our momentum, we were honored to?raise a significant Series A funding round ?led by a prestigious west coast venture capital firm; with this capital came the opportunity to create jobs in Charlotte and push the ball forward for technology startups in the Southeast.?

We hired subject matter experts and former public safety industry professionals and operated as a singularly focused unit marching toward our goals - we became a "we." And we've built an incredible culture while doing it. The team is just a joy to be around. They make our work fun for me, each other, and our customers. With deep reverence and respect for the heaviness of the work officers do daily,?we wore Hawaiian shirts to the largest industry event ?and got to know the humans under the uniforms. We even held a?chili cookoff for our local officers .

With all this said, our story is just beginning.

I'm grateful for every long night and weekend spent charging uphill with this crew in support of our customers and the continued opportunity to do real things in real communities around the country.
