Day two of SAPInsider Copenhagen 2024

My first SAPInsider event
This is the first SAPInsider event I have attended. I’m glad to report that I have been having a great time at the event, getting inspired by the keynotes, and enjoying many of the sessions as well as the networking opportunities.
The most popular topics seem to be AI (of course), SAP BTP, SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Cloud ALM in terms of topics where you can spot swarms of attendees flocking together. I love the atmosphere and the willingness to learn, explore and inspire. Top that off with curiosity that hangs in the air and you've got one hell of a mix.
It’s hard to explain the feeling you get from attending SAP events where you get overloaded with inspiration. It starts in the morning with a keynote that sharpens your senses and makes you think “Wow, I never thought this would be possible” to “The future is here”. You have to have experienced it to know what I’m talking about. I always go back home with tons of new ideas, new connections, new inspiration, a refreshed spirit, and loads of energy to dig deeper into the latest technological advancements of SAP.
Presenting on SAP BTP Governance and Administration
Today, Wouter Lemaire and I presented our session on SAP BTP Governance and Administration. While I was a little bit nervous about the time schedule – being the last session of the day, I was surprised to see that our room filled up beyond the seating limit. ?
We have been collaborating on giving SAP BTP workshops at the customer side since both Wouter and I have been focusing on SAP BTP for some time now and we’ve seen a lot of issues in terms of customers who started with SAP BTP without having any governance and/or administration framework in place. So we decided to join forces and collaborate on creating awareness around the topic.

Humble beginnings
We’ve collaborated with customers, colleagues and SAP on this topic. We have gone through many sessions with SAP on different topics to cross-check our ideas and content. With Wouter's development/architect background and my operations/architect background, our skills are complementary, allowing us to provide a more comprehensive perspective on the topic.
From all of this content, we’ve been generating best practices on how to get started with SAP BTP, how to structure subaccounts, how to get started with using naming conventions, and much more. It’s an ongoing journey.
It’s too much to share in a single session because you can spend hours on a single subject. We are aware of this. We are discussing how we can push the needle even further. Our goal was to create awareness on the topic and give several concrete tips and tricks that are useful/useable for our audience.
?Stay tuned for more to come. We plan to do much more in the future.
Networking and counting down to the last day
Networking at these events is invaluable. It's always rewarding to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and see our peers in action. Forming genuine connections and sharing insights helps us stay informed about industry trends and fosters a strong sense of community. These relationships often lead to meaningful opportunities and make a lasting impact.
Thanks to Martin Gillet for the professional pictures.
Signing off for today, I hope to see you all tomorrow for the last day of SAPInsider in Copenhagen
