Day Six
Day 6. I had the chance to catch up with a friend for coffee and eat some amazing avocado toast with an over-easy egg at one my my favorite coffee shops, 10 Speed Coffee. Even though it was raining, we managed to meet up and discuss all the new and exciting things happening in our lives. I also see life in a way that seem to come across pretty strange to others. Take this picture of this frothy tea for example. It's simply tea in a mug. For me I was reminded of Mt. Everest with the peaks of the mountains coming through the cold frost air. Do you see it? No? I don't blame you, it's simply tea. But even though it was just tea, it reminded me of the beautiful mountain that stands higher than any other on earth.
Every moment we have in life we never get back, so make the very best of it! I enjoy the small things; the rain, a hand-written letter, a cheesy joke, dancing, being random in public, and so on. I try to take one step at a time as to not rush a moment. This allows me to put full focus on each of my days but with also keeping my goals in mind as well.
I would say today was definitely needed as a stress reliever as I was able to just vent and converse about every aspect in life, not just the good things. It's great to be focused on the positive, but it's also good to just get off whatever is on your chest and just evaluate everything. Hardships are not just to be a burden, but to strengthen us to be built and ready for our future success.
