Day at Ounass - Product Management Edition

1. What is your life like as a Product Manager?

Being a Product Manager is like walking in your customer's shoes. I have to constantly think like our customers, understand them, learn about them and make sure they are happy!

I am supposed to learn and observe constantly. I don't always need to be logical. I also need to think emotionally to understand our customer's mindset because, in the end, we are responsible for every experience our customers gets.

2. What is a day in your working life like?

My job starts by rewinding my memory to everything I did the day before. Then, I continue from there. A Product Manager's task is never done. It's either in progress or it needs to be followed up. It needs to be tracked for improvements, or it needs to be prepared for anything else. The most important part of my day to day job is to find the perfect balance between what they want versus what they need

.3. What's something you've learned over time?

One of the most important lessons I learned with my experience as a product manager is that there is no perfect route. Every path has its pros and cons. You need to carefully decide what is worth taking a risk on to achieve what goals.

4. Advice for the day-to-day life of a Product Manager?

Always remember three L's.

Listen - It's very important to be a good listener.

Learn - Always be ready to learn because knowledge is never enough.

Lead - Always take the lead and completely take ownership of your product
