A Day – and Night – to Remember
Make your Valentine's Day perfect
Our favourite ways (in London) to make your Valentine’s Day – and night – just perfect.?
The Scent of Occasion: Start the day with a little flower power: we always turn to Notting Hill’s Orlando Hamilton for floral inspiration. Looking for a bouquet that’s more than special? Give him a call: 07495 202797. (From £150, for something extraordinary.)
Gems and Jewellery: Bring in some sparkle with Omnēque, of course, the perfect place to find that perfect present! We would say that, but not without reason. Explore our inspired Love Jewels edit, and if you can’t decide, let us help you, with our personal shopping expertise. https://omneque.com/
Cool for Cocktails: The aperitif? Out of the 8 venue options for Mr Fogg’s, we’d recommend the Residence (15 Bruton Lane, Mayfair). Eccentric and extraordinary, and with that decor you’ll never be short of something to talk about. (020 7036 0608; https://www.mr-foggs.com/mr-foggs-residence/).
Old Soho and Forever Romantic: Compulsory candlelight: Andrew Edmunds will always be at the top of our list of favourites for a romantic meal –?and they have a delicious dedicated Valentine’s Day menu, too. You can find it at 46 Lexington Street, W1 ( 020 7437 5708; https://www.andrewedmunds.com/). Book early, as they say.
A Touch of Class: The midnight hour: style, romance, bags of character, and rich in sumptuous velvets and tapestries. Batty Langley’s has it all in Shoreditch, E1 (020 7377 4390; https://www.battylangleys.com/). Why not go all out and book the Earl of Bolingbroke suite (our favourite of favourites)? It’s on two levels and has a bath to die for.
