Day In The Life: Shitika Anand, Genflow Marketing Lead

08:00 - 09:00: If I'm having a good week of working out, then I'm usually up around this time and in front of my phone either doing a Lean with Lilly workout or a Grow with Anna - both fitness apps by Genflow creators, so this is me being 100% bias but they are very good apps, and they work! But if I'm having?a lazy week, then I'm usually still rubbing my eyes at 8:55am.

09:00: Log on and catchup?on overnight Slack messages and emails from my CEO and prep for our 9:30 standup with the team. We have a daily 30-minute catchup for our Genflow Marketing Team to talk through priorities for the day, and if we need anything?from each other to get our tasks done. I find these super helpful and incredibly valuable in being productive.

10:00 - 11:00: My team runs a total of 21 social media channels across four of our brands, so this hour is usually spent going through the content calendars, looking at any approvals that are sitting on my ASANA, or sending over any briefs to the content team for our CEO's content.

12:00 - 14:00: We have just restarted our CEO's social media channels and have gone HAM with a reels-only strategy on Instagram so the quantity of work has significantly multiplied. I spend this hour before lunch going through all the approvals of reels that have come in from my team and the Content Team, scheduling all YouTube Shorts on his channel, and going through any scripts that my team have been working on for YouTube or TikTok videos.?

14:00: Lunch! Either egg whites on wilted spinach, or a chaotic wholemeal wrap stuffed with whatever I can find in the fridge.?

15:00 - 17:00: Solid strategy pow-wow time. Lately I've been spending a lot of time on LinkedIn to find inspiration on what we can do better across our CEO's personal and our brand LinkedIn, and looking over how other creators are treating their content on LinkedIn is my go-to inspiration. If I'm in the middle of editing any reels, this is usually when I'm getting my creative hat on, too. As a team, we have been thinking more and more like a marketing team rather than a social media-only team, and this is when I get my thoughts/ideas together to execute on. We have a Miro board to store all these ideas, and my team members are slowly becoming the queens and king of Miro.

17:00 - 19:00: I'm the most productive and switched on post-lunch, so I spend the last part of the working day ticking off all my to-dos from ASANA, and planning for the next day. I currently have 3 direct reports, so right now we are setting goals for Q4 - the last quarter of the year - that are aligned with our department-wide goals?+ where the company is headed. It's a crucial strategy period to make sure we end the year on a high and meet our KPIs as a team.?

19:00: Cook dinner with my husband, and make the very difficult decision of which drama crime show to end our day with: Severance or Dahmer?!
