Day in the life of a Lead Analyst: Deepak Seetharamaiah

As a Lead Analyst in P&A Analytics, my typical day starts with a huddle - where we discuss the new projects, ideas, and execution plan. My role predominantly involves developing and monitoring executive-level financial reporting to generate actionable insights through data analysis. I also provide performance recaps on major events, such as Black Friday, Back to School, etc.

Being in the merchandise planning and allocation space, I learn something new every single day that empowers me to lead my team with confidence. Thanks to the people and culture here, every opportunity to connect and collaborate with my fellow team members is something I eagerly look forward to. Together, we solve business problems with the power of data.??

?With access to different platforms like Coursera, our leaders ensure our continuous learning here. This learning helps me upskill myself at my own pace. What’s even thrilling is that I get to learn new tools and technology like MicroStrategy (Snowflakes) and, eventually, contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.

Thanks to the direct interaction I have with the senior leadership team, I get the privilege of understanding the depths of planning and allocation requirements at JCPenney. And this helps me provide insights that determine our key performance drivers. The value my contribution brings to the table is what keeps me uplifted and I see no boundaries whatsoever of my capabilities here.
