A day in the life of a Business Analyst :)

Good Morning, it is 8:30 am , i just checked in (attendance machine dahhh), turn on my laptop and the extended screen (Do i look Sophisticated so far !) , waiting for Mr. windows to boot and all the startup apps are UP.

A little shit chat with the colleagues about last night soccer game, AND OFF WE GOOOO !!! the day has started, But Wait !, yeh your right COFFEEE ;)

A table spoon of Nescafe gold , another spoon of Stevia sweetener( Ya i am on diet since ever, and never lost a pound) & and a tiny spoon of Regilait Milk powder, Hot water from dispenser, steer it , and sip it, Now the day has started.

A quick check on the Inbox , nothing to worry about , lets check the CRM , Holly Sh*t! tons of new requirements to serve, head scratching mode is on , how to make a client wishlist a reality on the system , does not pass without a debate with the PO about it until we find a common ground , time to sketch it using the most lethal weapon of all time the one and only "Paint" ( My best tool ever ).

Now the ideas and the sketching are ready , mold it and put it in a baseline document to be sent to client for validation , Document sent to client by email followed by a phone call, " Hey, Whats up Duck !" , God I hate when clients start to improvise about the requirements , can't you see how perfect is my suggested fix ? , they always have a twist to add, then your remember the old saying " Client is always right " , but there is another old saying " Do not gold plate " , I do my best to maintain the balance.

Time to check what the project manager has in its goody bag, approved change requests by clients ready for build , access the TFS ( Team Foundation Server , it is where all the mambo jumbo happens ) create a new feature with sub-story items , add the acceptance criteria & !!! Wait !!! its lunch break , hit the kitchen , heat the Tupperware , another shit chat with the dudes about the protests 2 blocs away.

Back to where I stopped , ... & sketches' snapshots , assign the feature/stories ID to the case number on CRM , discuss the backlog for next sprint with PO , but hey ! what about the work already in progress ?

Check current running sprint backlog , have the completed items reviewed , and pass them to QA for various testing procedures.

Planning meeting in 5 ! , hit the conference room , explain the sprint backlog items for developers , and granulate when necessary , developers commit , the sprint is on.

Back to desk , another cup of Nescafe , some shit chat , already 5:30 pm , shut Mr. windows down , Check out , wish you win the lottery tonight so you can resign tomorrow ( Not in this life ) , hit the parking for your ride , tomorrow another day , another dollar.
