President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, has called for an international peace conference to end the war as it has reached an alarming state of despair, destruction and deaths. Palestinian president says Gaza war must end, conference needed to reach settlement | Reuters?

But the conflict is not just about Palestine and Israel. It has so many stakeholders, geographies, and moving themes, and only a magnitude, bigger than COP28 and along the likes of WEF (in Davos), can do justice.??

What could this proposed peace conference look like:

The Theme: The Day After: Arrival of Co-Existence of Israel & Palestine

The Venue: (Physical venue) Washington,??

Zoom: Tel Aviv, Gaza, West Bank, London, Beijing, Brussels, Doha, Beirut, Tehran, and Cairo.

The Moderators would manage 12 sessions (below) and have suggested initial set of tough questions for speakers, plus moderator's own plenary session (with questions) at the end. The conference would have suggested sponsors (at end).

Social Media & Lives of Journalists in Gaza War:??Jake Tapper

Social media, with the impact of influencers and AI generated images and content creation, has expanded divides, inflamed passions, and hardened narratives, but also brought real time news and has become more trustworthy than traditional media. How can social media reduce tension and build bridges??

‘News consumption in the 21st century looks very different than it once did; there is no doubt about it. The picture of the nuclear family watching the evening broadcast gathered around the TV is increasingly harder to come by. The early-morning, newspaper-reading commuter is often surrounded by people scrolling on screens of all sizes. While the information itself might not have gone through drastic changes, the medium certainly did.’

US Military Aid to Israel: Conditions? And AIPAC: Christiane Amanpour

There has been much chatter on the military aid to Israel, from US budget deficits to taxpayers (who are also voters) to democrats to even few republicans, is it time for full throated dialogue??

“Sanders, in a recent op-ed for the New York Times, spoke more broadly of the need to use the aid as "leverage," saying that the "blank check approach must end."

He went on to list several possible conditions to attach to US aid to Israel, including an end to indiscriminate bombing, a guarantee of no long-term Israeli occupation of Gaza, and a commitment to peace talks for a two-state solution.

Counter-insurgency: Israel’s Big Idea: Piers Morgan

The viability of counter-insurgency, lessons Iraq and Afghanistan in Gaza?

‘Retired Army Gen. David Petraeus, who led a surge of U.S. troops and shifted Iraqi militia alliances to help turn the tide of the Iraq War, now says a similar, counterinsurgency-based approach could work for the Israel-Hamas conflict.?

Petraeus said the “big idea” Israel has landed on is destroying Hamas. But how that happens and what comes next remain unresolved…[he] claimed that Israel has determined Hamas is the equivalent of the Islamic State, meaning it is an irreconcilable, extremist organization. “You have to, therefore, destroy them..Israel cannot allow Hamas to reconstitute as a militant group and it also must dismantle the group’s political wing, adding that military force alone won’t accomplish that goal…But there are some big ideas missing...You can’t kill or capture your way out of an industrial strength insurgency. The Hamas challenge echoes what U.S. forces faced in Iraq and Israel should take a similar approach, he said.

But taking out militants in Gaza won’t produce lasting results without a political solution, he said. “There needs to be a vision for who’s going to oversee Gaza.”

While Israel may not want that job, it might need to do it, at least temporarily. That would require Israelis winning over Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank to support that effort as a transitional Palestinian government takes shape.’

“Don’t clear and go on. Clear, hold and build.”

Declaration: ‘We, the undersigned, recognize the importance of maintaining and strengthening peace in the Middle East and around the world based on mutual understanding and coexistence, as well as respect for human dignity and freedom, including religious freedom...’ The Abraham Accords - United States Department of State?

‘Continued Arab adherence to the Accords signals continued support for Israel, rewarding it with the military, economic, and trade development that were always the primary goal. That is why we at the Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN), a rights group set up by Jamal Khashoggi, have publicly called on the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan to immediately withdraw from the Accords and, alongside peace treaty signatories Egypt and Jordan, end all military coordination with Israel.’

?It’s Time to Scrap the Abraham Accords?

Meanwhile, the Abraham Accords, put to the test, have held. Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates condemned the Hamas attack. The UAE then condemned Israel’s campaign in Gaza because of its high civilian death toll. But relations have survived.

A top UAE official recently declared, “The Abraham Accords are here to stay.” Just as remarkable, Saudi Arabia has indicated that it remains interested in pursuing peace with Israel, according to the White House.

Activist (Never Again for anyone): Jake Tapper

Are activists making a difference in the Israel/Hamas war? If so, how??

Why do some view activists as traitors?

“It’s critical for American Jews to stand up and say, ‘never again’ is never again for anyone.” The slogan has been a rallying cry of the Jewish community since World War II.

“If we’re going to learn anything from history, it’s that the things that we stand for are for everybody, no exception, and that includes Palestinians,” she added. “We’re pulling back on organizations that suggest Jewish safety must come at the expense of Palestinian life. We say, it’s not either-or, it’s all of us or none of us.”

‘Israel says its mission in Gaza is to root out and destroy Hamas, which governs the small territory. But it is the 2.2 million Palestinians living there, unable to escape, who are bearing the brunt of the attacks…It is these lives that Wise and other Jewish American peace activists are mobilizing to save with their calls for an urgent ceasefire – even when doing so puts them at odds with some groups within their own community, including the Anti-Defamation League, who’ve questioned their morals and even accused them of being anti-Israel.’

Rebuilding Palestine (Made in Palestine) & BDS: Hanan Ashrawi

The day after, how to rebuild a Palestine economy, Marshall plan A Marshall Plan for Israel/Palestine | Peter Geffen | The Blogs,? ‘If the Jewish people has been capable of rebuilding its relationship with Germany that took six million of our lives, we are certainly capable of forgiving and getting on with business with the Palestinians who have in total killed far less of our people than we kill of each other on the Israeli roads and highways every few years. The Palestinian people have less experience in this domain. So they appear unable to forgive or forget. But it is temporary. Give them a reason to get beyond the slogans and we will be able to build, together, a Middle East of majesty, achievement, justice, equality and peace.’

‘Despite everything Palestinians went through from living under an unjust occupation that hinders them from living a normal life every single day, Palestinians refuse but to resist by all means of resistance including being innovative, creative and bringing beauty and hope despite the darkness of occupation. Palaestina - The name comes from the name of the Philistine nation, which in the 13th century BC. inhabited the southeastern coast of the Mediterranean. The first such name for this region is found in the texts of Herodotus (5th century BC). During the Roman Empire, at the beginning of our era, it is the official designation of the region in documents and maps. The State of Israel was founded on May 14, 1948. How can the state of Israel be established in the already existing state of Palestine (mentioned already from the 13th century BC)? Purchases made by Jews and others in 1948 and earlier - The purchase of real estate in a country does not give the right to create a new country in an existing country. Because the acquisition of property takes place according to the provisions set forth in the legislation of an existing state (Palestine) at the time of its acquisition.

With all due respect, how and why would we trust our major news media hosts to ask the right questions? Without the right questions, this exercise, although noble in its' presentation, is merely a ruse. * why did the U.S. release 6 billion in cash to Iran, to find its' way into this conflict? * why did the U.S. leave 7 billion in armaments making its way into this conflict? * why did Israel seemingly look the other way to allow this conflict to occur? * why did the initial attack on a building with three rockets, bring the structure down, demolition style, calling for some to say this is Israel's 911? *why are there six U.S. aircraft carriers off shore, pointing their nukes at Israel, and the surrounding geography, the largest accumulation of u.s. assets since World War II? *why does this conflict coincide with the U.S.'s influence in the Ukrain, and an effort to have them to join NATO? *why does the U.S foreign policy include. exploding a pipeline off the coast of Ukraine? What is the clandestine agenda? What is the public agenda? *why is the wealthiest nation in the history of the world allowing Israel to bring the world to the brink of thermo-nuclear war? *why does our news media not ask...?
