Daizy Patel continues the review of the book The Almanack Of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness (By Eric Jorgenson)
You can begin doing your kind of work when you have precise knowledge, accountability, and leverage.?
You can own your time and you can work more hyper-efficiently if they pay you what you're worth.? You do not have to waster time in attending unnecessary meetings. There is no need to impress others. You only give a damn about the value you are providing.
You'll be far more effective and productive when you focus solely on the work at hand. You won't try to force yourself to work when you're short on energy; instead, you'll work when you're motivated and full of energy. Your lost time will be made up.·
Naval says:
Forty hour work weeks are a relic of the Industrial Age. Knowledge workers function like athletes—train and sprint, then rest and reassess.

Your street corner: So?the thought of becoming Henry or living the life of Henry is scary. Your resume will be in another pile, or your cabin will be another one in the line. The thought is scary but so true.?
How companies used to make money – Trying to maximize profits. The goal is to hire cheap labor that could do repeatable work. Consumers do not like such "commodity" companies, though, and it does not even scale very well.?The author says:
"Consumers are not loyal to cheap commodities. They crave the unique, the remarkable, the human."
Thus, there are only two ways to win: build a company that is ordinary / standard and requires cheap labor or build a company that makes a cut above the rest by being different.
