DAY 91: This is How You Die.

"Donavon, have you seen this article?" Grandpa asks me as he shows me a newspaper.

"Ok, so another business got shut down? Why is this one important?" I ask with curiosity.

"Son, it is not that they are going out of business but why they are going out of business that matters," Grandpa cautioned.

"Ok, I'll bite. Why are they going out of business as the article doesn't say?" I reply.

"Donavon, do you remember being in that restaurant several years ago? Do you remember the service?" Grandpa presses on.

"Ok, yes, I remember that they took shortcuts and had terrible service as they took my steak and just put it in the microwave and gave you cold food. If I remember right, we left and never went back," I wince as I remembered the experience.

"What you just said is spot on. The restaurant was taking shortcuts, and the service dropped off the face of the earth. Now that business cannot come back as it has been condemned," Grandpa shared.

No matter what you are doing, do not take shortcuts as that is the quickest way to death in business. It is often very tempting to take the path of least resistance; however, that path is often the most dangerous.
