You may have heard that a little bit of stress is actually good for you. The adrenalin rush can power you through a long day at work, tough workouts, and strict deadlines.

And while it feels good to conquer the day. It is far better for your health to relax. Relaxation improves your immune system. Boosts your mental clarity. Improves your mood. Lower your risk of stroke. Improves your memory. Increases your ability to make good decisions.

And offers many other great benefits. So take the time to relax your mind, body, and spirit. When you are stressed you are much more likely to become sick. Stress hormones suppress the immune response and its ability to fight germs. These hormones can also cause blood pressure spikes, damage your arteries.

Promote high cholesterol and lead to other health-related conditions, like anxiety and depression. Stress has even been linked to addictions and obesity.

Fortunately, research has shown that deep relaxation can reverse stress-induced ailments. Even a small amount of regular relaxation time can have long-standing benefits.

Including higher energy, improved cardiovascular performance, and life longevity. Relaxing is about getting back in tune with your life.

It`s about stepping back, gaining perspective. And restoring your vitality.

It`s easy to take a couple of moments throughout your day to breathe deeply. Visualize peace and calm surroundings. Or practice gratitude.

Your physical body just works better when you put some premium fuel in the tank.

Take regular breaks during the day.

Take a few steps or do some light stretching. Workout - your body was made to move.

Switch your mind off.
