Day 8: The new normal?
When I reflect on the day and it doesn't seem that anything different happened, maybe that's a sign I'm getting used to the new normal. I really hope that being in my basement is not normal for long. I met a person online yesterday and confessed that I can't wait to get back to the office for the social interaction. I also can't wait for schools to get back so the kids can resume their normal lives.
Zoom shares must be going through the roof at the moment, everyone seems to be using it. We've been long time subscribers and it's great that the service has been able to scale to what I can only imagine is a massive increase in demand. We had our 8th birthday party on Zoom. I did have to chuckle though, my wife was getting her mother sorted with it and they were both looking at each other on video but also on the phone. Even when they were set up fully they continued to hold the phone to their ears rather than hang up.
The only other news was I managed to get outside and go to the park with my son to do his pass drills. I then ran home - run may be over stating things...
Hope everyone is well. Happy video conferencing.
