Day 6: Frustrations and Progress

Day 6: Frustrations and Progress

Today has been quite a day. It started with high hopes and ended with some frustrations, but I’m making progress.

Phase One: Authentication

I began working on phase one of my project, focusing on the authentication feature for the website. This is a crucial part of any application, ensuring that users can securely log in and manage their accounts. After evaluating different options, I decided to use third-party services for authentication. This approach saves time and leverages the security expertise of established providers.

Database Decisions

In addition to authentication, I also had to make some decisions about the database. I’ve chosen to use a combination of MongoDB and third-party services. This hybrid approach should offer flexibility and scalability, but it’s a bit of an experiment. I’m curious to see how it will work out in the long run. If you have any thoughts or experiences with this kind of setup, I’d love to hear them!

Valuable Resources and Challenges

While researching, I found some important resources that I believe will be beneficial as I move forward. However, the day took a turn when I encountered multiple issues with node modules. It was one problem after another, and I’m still not entirely sure what went wrong. This kind of setback is frustrating, especially when you’re eager to make progress, but it’s also a part of the learning process.

Looking Ahead

I plan to tackle these issues tomorrow, hoping to get back on track. Persistence is key in development, and I’m determined to push through these challenges.

I’m also considering sharing more details about my project and progress on social media. Your feedback and suggestions would be incredibly valuable, especially as I navigate these hurdles.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for following my journey!
