"Ethan, let me share with you what happened at work" a coaching client recounted her story after concluding a session with her
"I saw an opportunity to move out of the country for a training I had always desired but the challenge was the cost. It was very high"
"I knew I could not afford it and, in the process, considered asking my office as to whether they could sponsor me. But a part of me worried that they wouldn't given that the program was expensive" she continued
"I kept debating in myself with a sense of hesitation. But in my spirit, I felt like I should just go ahead and ask. Besides, the worst that could happen is to just hear a no"
"So, I asked. It was a long process but I finally got approvals. What I learned from that experience is to always be open to ask" she concluded
I thanked her for sharing her story.
I also noted how we sometimes talk ourselves out of opportunities
Out of potential breakthroughs
