DAY 51 - THE DECEPTION OF SIN.

SCRIPTURE: Genesis 3:13

"Then the Lord God said to the woman, 'What is this you have done?' The woman said, 'The serpent deceived me, and I ate.'"

PRINCIPLE: Acknowledging the root of sin is the first step to overcoming it.

In the kingdom, awareness of the enemy’s tactics equips us for victory.

DEVOTION

Eve’s admission reveals another layer of the fall—deception by the enemy. The serpent exploited her curiosity and desire, twisting God’s words to lure her into sin. Recognizing how the enemy works is crucial for kingdom living. He thrives on lies, confusion, and doubt, aiming to separate us from God’s truth.

But God’s question, "What is this you have done?" was not meant to condemn but to lead Eve to confront the reality of her actions. Similarly, God asks us to reflect on our choices and seek His help to break free from sin’s grip. By understanding the enemy’s strategies, we can stand firm, armed with the truth of God’s Word.

Are there lies you’ve believed or areas where the enemy has deceived you? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth and guide you toward victory in Christ.

PRAYER

"Lord, thank You for exposing the lies of the enemy. Help me to recognize his tactics and to stand firm in Your truth. Thank You for equipping me with Your Word and Your Spirit to overcome every deception. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

WORD TO REMEMBER: Truth.

God’s truth is the ultimate weapon against the enemy’s deception.
