Day 5: "Operation" for adults
There's a children's game called Operation. I used to play it when I was a child and I had no idea that you could still buy it. I saw it recently when I was looking for some playdoh (I run workshops with this stuff).
I bought the game and thought it would make an excellent team activity where participants would have some fun and perhaps learn something more about communication and psychological safety.
Here's what the game looks. like:
When I bought the game that day I wondered how a team would work together to remove all of the parts from the patient. What would happen if there was a timed league, if the participants had their eyes covered......the imagination ran wild.
I've got a game all ready to package up (including batteries) and send to the first person to send me a list of all of the items you'd retrieve from the poor old bedridden chap. You should receive it before the festive seasons kicks off good and proper.
Ho, Ho. Ho.

Each day, until the 24th December I will share something small with you. The 'something small' will be related to Employee Experience. The 'something small' might be something to think about, something you might use with your team, on yourself or you might share the idea with someone else you know. One small idea will be shared every day with one collective purpose; to make the experience of work better.
Ho Ho Ho

1 年Thanks for sharing Sandra Thompson! I loved this game as a child, really didn't think it was still going. Great creativity. I'm always looking for new methods of running workshops and team building, this is a fabulous idea ?? .
