Amazon CloudWatch:-
Amazon CloudWatch is monitoring tool used in AWS for monitor all the environments which are configured. It is a Subpart of the Management and Governance it will work in the form of alarms need to be configured while working on it. Cloud Watch Monitor the following tools like EC2, Load Balancer, RDS, Billing, Instance type, Memory & Storage. Amazon Web Services(AWS) resources and the applications you run on AWS in real time. You can use CloudWatch to collect and track metrics, which are variables you can measure for your resources and applications.
Amazon SNS:-
Amazon Simple Notification Service(SNS), is a notification service provided as part of Amazon Web Services since 2010. It provides a low cost infrastructure for mass delivery of messages,predominately to mobile users mainly used for notifications if our configuration are greater than or less than form.
Let us discuss with the help of task:-
Task:-
Create a CloudWatch alarm that monitors your billing and send an email to you when it reaches $2.
To enable the monitoring of estimated charges
1 Login your AWS account with user name & password.
2 In the right hand side on top click on your name (account name).
3 open the AWS Billing Console.
4 In the navigation pane,choose Billing Preference.
5 Choose Receive Billing Alerts.
6 Choose Save preferences button.
Creating a billing alarm:-
open the CloudWatch console.
In the navigation pane,choose Alarms,and the choose all the alarms.
Choose Create alarm.
Choose Select metric, then click next.
In Browse,choose Billing highlight in blue colour and then choose Total Estimated charges.
If Billing option are not show change the Region select the N.Virginia.

Select the box for the EstimatedCharges metric, and then choose Select metric.
Next point Specify metric and conditions Metric:-
Given a Metric name
For Statistics, choose Maximum.

For Period, choose 6 hours. Click on Next
Next Step:- Conditions
For Threshold type,choose static
For Whenever Estimated charges is choose the Greater.
define a threshold value that triggers your alarm.here threshhold value i will given 2$.
Click on Next.
Specify metric and conditions
For Statistics choose Maximum
For Period, choose 6 hours.
For?Threshold type, choose?Static.
For?Whenever EstimatedCharges is, choose?Greater.
define a threshold value that triggers your alarm. here threshold value is2$.
Under the Notification option specify an Amazon SNS topic to be notified when your alarm is in the ALARM state.
You can select an existing Amazon SNS topic or create a new Amazon SNS topic by selecting "Create new toipic"
If you want your alarm to send multiple notifications for the same alarm state or for different alarm states, choose?Add notification.
Under?Name and description, enter a name for your alarm.
Under?Preview and create, make sure that your configuration is correct, and then choose?Create alarm.
Billing alarm is created.
Delete your billing Alarm that you created now.
