Day 4 at Mechai Bamboo School

Day 4 at Mechai Bamboo School

Day four saw a lot of preparation for the visit of the Swedish Ambassador to Thailand (Staffan Herrstr?m) and his wife Karin.

Lot's of last minute cleaning, practising processes, and rehearsals.

Even the odd unwanted guest was moved on unharmed.

The Ambassador was greeted by students in the national dress of the country they are originally from. And were entertained by a group playing the ukulele.

We then all sat down to a beautiful Thai meal and got to know each other.

Some students even joined us. One of the things that has stood out for me has been the confidence of the students. I don't think this is something they brought with them when they started at the school, I think it has been developed over time. The students also seem so happy. Always smiling and respectfully greeting everyone. It was such a nice atmosphere to witness.
