Day 39 of 100 Days of Growth: AI Image Generator for Free

Today, I explored Google’s Imagen 3, a cutting-edge text-to-image AI model that became publicly available on August 15, 2024. Initially announced at the Google I/O event in May, I finally had the chance to test it out on the ImageFX platform, part of Google’s AI Test Kitchen.

Let me just say, Imagen 3 is impressive. It rivals, if not outshines, heavyweights like #Midjourney, OpenAI's #DALL-E, and #Grok/X. The images it generates are stunningly realistic, with top-notch detail.

What’s particularly appealing is that Imagen 3 is free to use on ImageFX. Given that it costs nothing, it’s a serious contender in the text-to-image space. However, it does come with more restrictions compared to Grok/X, but honestly, that might not be a bad thing. Some of the content people have been creating with Grok/X lately has raised eyebrows for all the wrong reasons. Earlier in my 100-day journey, I had a similar experience that I’d rather not relive.

Overall, Imagen 3 is a fantastic tool that balances creativity with responsibility. If you’re into AI art or just curious about these models, I highly recommend giving it a try!
