Day 35 Now is the best time to start a yoga practice
Where I live, we are in the 2nd phase of pandemic restrictions, so travel is discouraged and gyms and studios are closed again. Over the past 6 months I have transitioned to a yoga practice using on line classes and it has taught me to stay present and grounded while living in uncertainty. Embracing my practice in this way lets me dive deep into yoga with my whole heart and I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything. Here are 10 incredible benefits I have found with an on-line practice:
1. It’s super convenient – no commute required, I don’t need to think about what to wear, the weather, or parking.
2. My favorite classes are on demand- I can fit my practice in whenever it suits me, 24/7 and I don’t need to stick to a class schedule.
3. The best teachers in the world are just a click away- I love finding teachers who I would never have the opportunity to practice with in a local class setting.
4. It’s like a 1:1 yoga session in your home yoga space.
5. I have tons of different yoga classes to choose from and they are all at my fingertips.
6. I can choose a style that fits my mood, so my practice serves my needs every time.
7. I can dive deep and learn more challenging poses, breathing techniques and meditation with highly focused classes.
8. I can engage with my local yoga community as we practice together virtually, supporting local businesses.
9. It has never been so easy to practice yoga and my progress gets me excited!
10. It’s so cost effective- yoga requires very basic equipment and on-line classes are affordable, and often free.
