Cialdini’s 6 Principles of Persuasion

Dr. Robert Cialdini, a psychology professor, identified six key principles that make people say "yes." Mastering these will supercharge your copywriting.

1?? Reciprocity – Give First, Receive Later

Humans feel obligated to return favors. If you give something valuable first (a freebie, advice, or exclusive content), people are more likely to buy from you later.

2?? Social Proof – Follow the Crowd

People trust what others trust. Testimonials, reviews, and user numbers build credibility.

Emotional vs. Rational Appeal

The best copy combines both—hook them emotionally, then justify it rationally.

Write a 100-word persuasive paragraph using at least two of Cialdini’s principles. You can choose any product or service.
