The journey of a tech entrepreneur is far from easy at any stage, but the beginning is something else entirely. The concept is still a fragile idea, and you're trying to build it into reality by bringing people together, seeking support, and flexing muscles you didn't know you had.
Today, I worked from the offices of Payments by Wix, where the CEO decided to back our startup and offer support wherever needed. Having this kind of foundation – a belief from someone with real-world experience – is a game changer. It's not just a confidence booster; it's a practical advantage that speeds up our progress.
Today was packed with meetings, logistics, and infrastructure work. We launched a preliminary version of our website, which is already getting feedback from colleagues and industry leaders. Early feedback is priceless – it's the litmus test that helps validate if we’re hitting the right mark or missing the point.
We also integrated HunSpot.com into our process, a tool to manage contacts and follow-ups from anywhere. Yes, even in times of conflict. Adaptability isn’t a luxury in this landscape; it’s a necessity.
I had the chance to get feedback from an experienced investor and startup advisor, someone who knows this field inside out. Even a single insight can make a difference – that one sentence that shifts your approach, that one question that redefines priorities.
In the midst of all this, I also got to help a reservist whose business is at risk due to the heavy toll he's paying. These moments are a reminder of the resilience we need to build – both personally and as a community – for those who give so much of themselves.
Today was productive, intense, and a bit of a wake-up call on resilience, growth, and the impact of community. For me, it's clear: keep the product simple, show the value, and don’t be afraid to charge what it’s worth. I’m moving forward with renewed motivation and purpose.
What about you? How do you stay focused on simplicity in your work, even when things get complicated around you?
Eliav.
