Day 21 - DON’T QUIT YOUR DAYDREAMS
“I don’t believe that you can be too short as a quarterback. It’s not about height.” – Drew Brees
Do you feel totally fulfilled with your life’s journey? Do you wake up refreshed and ready to hit the ground running … every single day? Do you radiate love, joy, happiness, and hopefulness? Or do you find yourself constantly hitting “speed bumps” in everyday traffic?
If your life is close to perfect in every way, you are indeed an inspiration to others!! And if you’re encountering some speed bumps (or lumps), you can also be an inspiration to others … with a few tweaks!! Learn to DREAM:
D – Dedication: Are you dedicated to making your life the best life possible? Are you utilizing the skills you were born with, and have you honed those skills that you are passionate about? Are you sharing your skills to help others?
R – Responsibility: You have power and control over many things. Are you drowning in a “woe is me” world of self-pity? Or are you accountable for the things you can control?

E – Education: Learn something new every day. Sometimes, it’s realizing that you’re smarter than you think! It might also be a lesson in humility, as the rug gets pulled out from under you. Whatever the lesson of the day, be open to learn life’s lessons … that exercise lends itself to the bigger DREAM.
A – Attitude: Are you smiling at the thought of a new day and new opportunities for goodness? Or do you need to turn that frown upside down? A smile is the first step toward a great attitude for the entire day! YOU CAN DO THIS!
M – Motivation: What’s your motivation? Ask yourself - If money were no object, what would you do with your life? Ponder this carefully. When you come up with an answer, figure out what it would take to get to that great place in your life. That’s your motivation! For example, years ago, my husband and I desperately wanted to travel, but we were knee deep in credit card bills. Carefully and methodically, we came up with a systematic plan to cut out our credit cards, and we are now able to travel (that’s our motivation) without the constant worry about a travel fund. Identifying the motivation is necessary for the DREAM to come true!
As you DREAM, your life gets better, and you will certainly inspire others. Just like those Values.com commercials (The Foundation for a Better Life), you will undoubtedly promote good values in others, including honesty, caring, optimism, hard work and helping others. Sounds like a great DREAM to me!!
DREAMS DO COME TRUE:?On my first visit to Branson, Missouri, I was urged to see “The Texas Tenors.” Unfortunately, I blew off the chance and missed seeing this incredible group. After the vacation, I saw some of their online videos, and I was disappointed in myself for not taking sage advice to see this talented group. Years later, I saw them perform in Biloxi, Mississippi. Kenny and I bought front-row tickets, because I didn’t want to miss a note!! Marcus Collins (the contemporary tenor) came through the audience and pulled me up for a quick spin around the floor as he sang to me!! An incredible memory that I will cherish forever!! @marcuscollins made a dream come true for me that night!!
