Day 21
Day 21. Sunday. Meeting up with family that I haven’t seen in years. It’s always a pleasure to see family, but definitely a tad bit awkward when you haven’t dealt with them for certain reasons. Remember how I was saying I was practicing my Spanish and Learning French? Well that definitely came in handy since we were meeting with my grandfather from my mom's side that always made fun of my sister and I for being half Mexican and not knowing Spanish fluently. To his and my own surprise, I was quite shocked that I was able to hold 95% of the conversation with him in Spanish during our visit. Moments like this help me appreciate the work I put into extracurricular activities such as language because it allows me to connect better with people.
We went to one of our favorite lunch spots, Yamato and had a wonderful time. This isn't a big deal to many, but for the first time in my life I was able to eat everything on my plate! The reason it's such a big deal to me is because I've suffered through stomach pain for the past 15 years of my life until I finally went to go see an Eastern Chiropractor that had healed me of my discomfort. Every time before when I went to Yamato I would not be able to take a single bite without pain following seconds after. I was filled with happiness due to that realization and will never take advantage of being able to eat freely without restraint.
Overall great day with family and very grateful for all the blessings in my life.
